This masterplan identifies the under-utilised parts of our city and how they relate to the pedestrian networks hat we use everyday. The masterplan establishes the pod market at select locations to attempt to improve the activity along these networks.
This masterplan is not the ‘big picture’ redevelopment that is spruked from time to time, it is completely concerned with small interventions in existing spaces that can improve our city. Before we look to redevelop on a large scale we could and should investigate opportunities to improve the existing situation. This will save on resources, energy consumption, expenditure and waste. The pod market is a cost effective way to address the issue of lack of social space in the city.
